We have extensive experience in assisting community leaders and residents to envision the future of their neighborhood. Community revitalization goals and objectives are most effective when defined locally. Goals based on a community assets tend to support sustainability and longevity. The Gainsboro community near downtown Roanoke, Virginia expressed a strong desire to preserve a historical residence with local significance. The home was located in a part of the neighborhood that was transitioning from residential to commercial. With a view towards sustainability and longevity, the home was rehabilitated and converted into an office for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Roanoke Valley, a local non-profit.
